Required Credits/Courses to Graduate
Courses for the Executive MBA Leadership Program are offered on a trimester basis. There are five Trimesters and a one week residency. There is a total of 36 credit hours for the advanced degree program. The program consists of 22 core courses and each are structured with 1.5 credit hours of instruction, incorporating a variety of instructional methodologies and blended-online learning. Thirty six credit hours are required to graduate from the Executive MBA
Leadership Program as outlined below:

  • 33 semester credit hours of core coursework, including 22 courses each of 1.5 credits or
  • 23 hours of class time plus a final exam, paper, report, or project
  • Plus 3 semester credit hours consisting of 4 learning and communications competency courses
  • 36 total semester credit hours in the program

Executive MBA Learning Outcomes

  • Clearly comprehends, analyses and communicates concepts to predict consequences of economic and financial events
  • Clearly understands and communicates global management problems and risks from a broad company perspective
  • Clearly understands and communicates correct calculations and evaluation of problems employing both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Clearly communicates the results of analysis with appropriate justifications for a recommended plan of action and takes responsibility for implementation of that plan
  • Clearly and succinctly assesses problems, key options and communicates orally and in written form alternative management decisions with logical justifications for recommendations
  • Demonstrate the ability to integrate knowledge of emerging issues, leadership, organizational development, and institutional transformation
  • Enhance understanding about developing a culture of evidence and inquiry; demonstrate the ability to analyze and synthesize institutional data; and, communicate about, interpret, and apply data for decision making at the institution and program levels

  • Demonstrate an understanding about involving key stakeholders in addressing ethical and security issues and creating policies, programs, and practices to enhance multicultural diversity in a multi-jurisdictional environment
  • Demonstrate an understanding of board dynamics and board and CEO, CFO, COO roles and responsibilities in analyzing and establishing policies, priorities, goals, and implementing effective and ethical governance and operational practices
